Osiria Has a Lot In Store For Listeners with “Closed Doors, Closed Window”

Osiria has a lot in store for listeners of their latest high-tension track, “Closed Doors, Closed Window.”

The album art for Osiria's latest track, "Closed Doors, Closed Windows" features a portrait of a woman with black hair from the side, enveloped in flutters of blue and purple.
“Closed Doors, Closed Windows” was released on Saturday, October 31, 2020.

Formed in early 2019 as a 3-piece acoustic project, Osiria originally included members Jordan Havens (Guitar), Kevin Galicia (Guitar) and Sasha Gordy (Vocals). The now alternative rock/post hardcore band released Osiria’s debut acoustic EP, The Crisis, that June. With the addition of Alfred Olvera (Percussion) shortly after, Osiria began playing shows and developing their full-band sound. Based out of San Diego, California and released “Closed Doors, Closed Window” on October 31, 2020.

“Closed Doors, Closed Window is a high-tension track from the very first notes. Its sweeping instrumentals guide Gordy’s voice through lilting verses and sections of gritty screaming. Because the song’s lyrics tell an intense story of lies and betrayal, it couldn’t have been more perfect for a Halloween release.

“You can see, everything isn’t as it appears / You say my eyes are the sun but they’re here covered in tears, covered in tears / Crossing your fingers they don’t overhear…”

Each section of the song introduces new layers, painting a picture of a relationship gone wrong.

“Try as you might, your arms hold me so tight / And the lies, and the lies, they don’t mind / That we left them all behind / We leave them all behind.”

Paired with dark, sinister instrumental tones, the vocals set the mood and serve as an effective form of storytelling.

A New Voice for a New Era

Perfect for fans of early Set It Off, Tonight Alive, Paramore, and Beartooth with trembling guitar rhythms, unique, feminine vocal tones, and steady-paced percussion, “Closed Doors, Closed Windows” is a solid release to follow Osiria’s previous EP.

The pandemic served as a setback for many bands, Osiria included. Instead of letting their circumstances take control, Osiria used the time to develop a distribution plan for future releases. They hope to release a trilogy of singles through the end of 2020 and beginning of 2021. Osiria is currently working on their next EP, which will be released in the late spring of 2021. The release will be followed by a tour in the summer if it is safe to do so.
